Emanuela Trane was born in Galatina (Italy) and grew up in Scorrano. She attended the University of Florence, studying Mechanical engineering. She started writing songs at the age of 14, and she later studied singing, clarinet and piano. Two years later she founded her first band, named "I Codici Zero". In the early 2000s she met in a web chat her first producer, Lucio Fabbri, and then she obtained a recording contract with the independent record label Amarena Music.
