Barry James Freeman (1940 - ) was born and grew up in Kempston, a village near to Bedford, England. Throughout his working life he was a self employed entrepreneur with several patented inventions to his name. Since retiring he has concentrated on writing and has published several books. He now lives in Bedford with his wife, enjoying the view of the Great Ouse and continuing to write. If asked, he will tell you that he writes stories for children, but written as they are, with humour, pathos and wisdom, their messages are timeless and to be enjoyed by children of all ages.
