Hallowell has been, among other things, an automotive mechanic, a bouncer, a soldier, a jeweler, a cowboy, a tow truck driver, a stereo installer, an after-school program counselor, a psychiatric technician, a paralegal, an EMT, a photographer, a phlebotomist, a medical coder, a self-defense intructor, and a massage therapist.
