Karen Lee Turner, Ed.D is an artist, educator and retreat leader. She holds a master's degree in counseling and a doctorate in educational leadership from Vanderbilt University's Peabody College of Education and Human Development.Her essays have been published in the award-winning spiritual life journal, Weavings, as well as Leading from Within: Poetry that Sustains the Courage to Lead. She is a Lilly Endowment grant awardee for her work as a liturgical musician. She writes, paints, and designs retreats and courses in her colorful, light-filled studio just outside of Nashville where she is assisted by her two Maine Coon cats.
