Martin Kari was born during World War II in Transylvania and began life as a refugee in post-war Germany. Having lived and worked across four continents, he settled in Australia in 1981 with his Finnish wife, Arja, and their six children. His life journey-marked by resilience, migration, and discovery-infuses his writing with a global perspective and a deeply human touch. A truly multilingual author, Martin writes and publishes in both English and German, bridging cultures and perspectives with a single voice. In Echoes between Languages: Two Tongues, One Soul in Poems, his prose poems flow across languages, showing how words in different tongues can mirror, echo, and enrich one another.
