Her work in the competitive Los Angeles fashion scene, particularly in trade-to-trade and print advertising, highlights her ability to communicate style and substance to discerning audiences.A true multidisciplinary creative, Karen is also an award-winning author. Her book InsideOUT-a transformative work featuring over 60 leading scientists and thinkers-earned the IPPY Silver Award in science. The book's more than 3000 images weave together modern scientific insights with ancient wisdom, exploring the mysteries of creation and the common threads of humanity.Beyond her design and writing accomplishments, Karen is a dedicated curator of knowledge. As the editor, researcher, and designer of Science to Sage E-Magazine, she has produced over 64 editions, collaborating with renowned publishers and thought leaders. Her engaging interviews with influential figures in science, philosophy, and innovation have also extended to radio shows, webinars, and live events, where she has hosted names like Dr. Gerald Pollack, Dr. Rupert Sheldrake, and Gregg Braden.Karen's passion for education led her to serve as director of the Gifted Association of BC's Vancouver Chapter, where she coordinated international conferences focused on the needs of gifted children. In 2004, she co-founded the Silbury Education and Resource Centre for Gifted and Creative Learners, pioneering a home-school curriculum that integrated global concepts, cultural diversity, and alternative science and healing modalities. This innovative program provided gifted students from grades 1 through 7 with enriching experiences drawn from museums, science centers, universities, and local experts.Today, Karen continues to inspire as a graphic designer, communicator, and educator.
