The study indicates how to integrate environmental values into economic policy development; identify options for efficient water use management; survey other nations' experiences from an economic point of view. The major results of the study indicated that water market mechanisms were not used as a tool for the efficient allocation of water. Implications of the study can provide significant options to the decision-makers involved in the water sector in some developing countries.

Ph.D of Environmental Economics (University of Western Sydney, Australia), Master of Economics and B. Economics both from Yarmouk University in Jordan. He had wide experience as an Economist/ Planner with UNDP. He was a Lecturer at the Hashemite University. He is currently an Economic Advisor at The Capital Market Authority in Oman.
