Ed Redys (June 23, 1921 - May 9, 2009) was a Minor league baseball player and Major League Baseball coach. Redys was a pitcher in the St. Louis Browns organization from 1940 to 1941, and again in 1946 and 1947. He finished with a 28-26 minor league win-loss record and a 3.29 earned run average. Major League Baseball (MLB) is the highest level of professional baseball in the United States and Canada, consisting of teams that play in the National League and the American League. The two leagues merged in 2000 into a single MLB organization led by the Commissioner of Baseball after 100 years as separate legal entities.
