This book examines and discusses educational policy and issues that arise in all aspects of American education. The anthology features a collection of academic, comprehensive, and rigorous papers and articles that explore the myths of the failing and the reinventing of American public education as the background for a larger, interdisciplinary discussion of education and social change. The book calls attention to the broader case for good public education and a liberally educated community.
