Megan Dennis is an American author and scholar, known for her books and research on LGBTQ+ issues, health, and social justice. She was born on April 9, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan, where she grew up. Dennis has published several books on topics related to LGBTQ+ identity, culture, and rights, such as Transformed: A Comprehensive Guide To Modern Gender-Affirming Surgeries, Intersex Diversity, Lavender Linguistics: A Lexicon of Queer Terminology, and Do Me At The Prompt: A Teen's Guide to Healthy and Age-Appropriate Sexual ChatGPT Prompts. She has also written books on queer perspectives in various disciplines, such as criminology, migration studies, anthropology, and transgender studies, some of which are not yet released. Her latest book, Colonial Legacies in Public Health: Addressing Health Disparities and Inequities, explores the impact of colonialism on the health outcomes and access of marginalized communities.Dennis is widely recognized as a leading expert and advocate for LGBTQ+ issues, especially in the fields of genetics and medicine.
