Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)" is most staple and second most important crop after Rice, of the country which contributes nearly one third of the total food grain production. It is consumed mostly in the form of bread as "Chapatti". Wheat contains more protein than other cereals and has a relatively high content of Niacin and Thiamine.
