Conventional roughage sources such as jowar stover, maize stover were compared with sweet sorghum bagasse an unconventional roughage procured as agro industrial by product. The roughages were incorporated (at 50% level) in complete rations and were fed as expander extruded pellets in growing ram lambs divided into three groups for 120 days after weaning. The parameters such as growth, digestibility, carcass quality and economics of feeding were evaluated in-depth.
