The study was conducted to assess the effect of using Geometer's Sketchpad animation on grade nine students' achievement on plane geometry in Meskerem secondary school. The Study used quasi experimental design which is followed by pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. From fourteen sections two intact sections were selected randomly and assigned one as control and the other as experimental group. Pre- and post-tests were given to the students to collect their achievement score from both groups. Again pre- and post-attitude scales were given to collect the students' attitude towards GSP before and after treatment for experimental group. The sample size of the study was 59 students of which 27 were treated under the experimental group and 32 of them were treated as control group. The study showed as there is no significance difference between the mean scores of the pre-test of control and experimental group. However, there is a significant difference between the mean score of the post-test of control and experimental group. There is a significance difference between the mean scores of learning geometry through conventional method and using GSP animation.
