Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Elachista aluta is a moth of the Elachistidae family. It is found in north-eastern Queensland. The wingspan is 9-9.2 mm for males. The forewings are bluish grey and the hindwings are dark grey. The Elachistidae (grass-miner moths) are a family of small moths in the superfamily Gelechioidea. Some authors lump about 3,300 species in eight subfamilies here, but this arrangement almost certainly results in a massively paraphyletic and completely unnatural assemblage, united merely by symplesiomorphies retained from the first gelechioid moths.
