This study constitutes an intervention with teachers with the aim of training them to use electronic forums as a learning resource. It is justified by the need for continuing education for teachers due to the growing production of knowledge brought about by communication and information technologies. The evolution of the discussions showed moments of reading and reflection on the basic texts of the discussions; the back and forth between the text and the virtual classroom provided participants with attention to aspects that had not previously been highlighted, aspects brought to light by the considerations of their colleagues. It was possible to see how the messages from the same person indicate the reasoning process they went through and suggest that there was reflection and association with their practice. The aim was to analyse how collaboration can be a factor that promotes continuous learning in groups organised by common interests. The forum facilitated the circulation of scientific knowledge: based on discussions and the sharing of concerns, associated with concrete issues of everyday classroom life and the theory under study. As an asynchronous resource, it contributed to continuing education.
