This work examines the subtle ways the church and traditional religion in southwestern Nigeria relate. It shows that contrary to earlier opinion that Christianity and Traditional Religion do not have areas of relatedness, the Christian Religion in Nigeria is a product of the people's culture and worldview. Certain elements used in African Traditional Religion in Christ Apostolic Church shows that Traditional Religion and Christianity especially in Southwestern Nigeria in Christ Apostolic Church have their meeting points and they engage meaningfully when properly used. The appropriation of some natural and synthetic elements in African Traditional Religion and the church shows that there is a link between the two. The concepts of spiritual manipulation and protection enhancement are evident in the two religions.
