I am very pleased to present the Laboratory Manual for the subject Elements of Mechanical Engineering as per Gujarat Technological University. This manual is specially designed and prepared for the students studying in first year of engineering under GTU. The manual includes ten laboratory practical having nine study type practical and one performance type practical. At the end of the each practical, some self study questions are included which are to be answered by the students in the space provided. Dedicated space has been also provided for the conclusion by students and evaluation by laboratory teacher. I am very thankful to "The Almighty-GOD" for such positive thought and courage to implement it. I am highly obliged to our beloved Principal, Dr. R. K. Dr. N. K. Chavda is presently working as Associate Professor in Mech. Engg. Dept. at A. D. Patel Institute of Technology (A CVM Institution), New Vallabh Vidyanagar. He has 20 years of teaching experience. He has been awarded with Best Polytechnic Teacher for the year 2001 by ISTE, New Delhi and Dronacharya Award by ADIT & CVM on 23rd April, 2009.
