This study aims to understand the influence of parental involvement and self-esteem on school performance. To this end, a sample of 100 participants was selected using a cluster sampling technique. The sample consisted of 50 CM2 pupils from EPP Sogefiha 5 and their respective parents, also 50 in number. Two questionnaires and a semi-structured interview were administered. The results were processed using Student's t for independent samples and content analysis. The results confirmed our first two hypotheses and refuted the third. This research draws parents' attention to parenting practices that help build positive self-esteem in their children, which in turn leads to better school performance.
