Autorenporträt
Bhante Henepola Gunaratana was ordained as a Buddhist monk in Sri Lanka at the age of twelve. He went on to obtain a PhD in philosophy from the American University in Washington, D.C. He is the founding abbot of the Bhavana Society in Hugh Wiew, West Virginia. He is the prolific author of meditation manuals and several books on Buddhist teachings and mindfulness, including Journey to Mindfulness, Buddhist Suttas for Recitation and What, Why, How: Answers to Your Questions About Buddhism, Meditation, and Living Mindfully.
