Jennifer Margell arbeitet seit zehn Jahren mit Enkaustik. Sie verliebte sich in das Medium aufgrund seiner endlosen Möglichkeiten in Bezug auf die Technik und Materialien. Sie hat einen Abschluss in Industrial Design von der Universität Washington und arbeitet freiberuflich als Graphikdesignerin und Künstlerin. Sie malt schon ihr ganzes Leben lang und hat an so inspirierenden Orten wie Washington, Florida, China und Hawaii gelebt. Sie wurde zu diesem Buch wegen der fehlenden Hintergrundinformationen inspiriert, als sie sich erstmals mit dem Thema Enkaustik befasste.
