Born in Cameroon, Aurelie Chantal Schoonenberg is a British author who now lives in London with her family. During the past six years, she voluntarily offered French lessons to primary school pupils, a period during which she was able to understand the challenges faced by pupils learning French as a foreign language, as well as the causes of such barriers. After years of experiencing cultural differences and language barriers herself, she is proposing through this bilingual resource a simple and engaging way of learning to read French, with a specific focus on decoding and developing French language comprehension.
