Juan E. Campo is associate professor of religious studies at the University of California in Santa Barbara. Specializing in Islam, he holds a Ph.D. in the history of religions from the University of Chicago. His publications include the award-winning The Other Sides of Paradise: Explorations into the Religious Meanings of Domestic Space in Islam.
