Seema Chahar absolvierte einen Master of Science (Bodenkunde und Agrarchemie) an der BHU, Varanasi (UP). Derzeit promoviert sie in Bodenkunde und Agrarchemie mit einer Studie über die Verwendung von proximal erfassten Bodendaten als Stellvertreter für die Bodenanalyse und deren Kartierung. Sie hat viele Forschungsarbeiten veröffentlicht und an vielen internationalen Konferenzen teilgenommen.
