Originally from England, Tony Squire is now an Australian citizen, residing with his wife, Sheila. Following in his father's footsteps, he pursued a career as a professional soldier, dedicating 21 years to military service. A lifelong history enthusiast - particularly in military history - Tony has always aspired to weave real historical events into his storytelling. Since 2019, he has been writing both children's and adult books, bringing history to life through engaging characters and narratives. His works for younger readers introduce imaginative and adventurous tales, through his characters Buckley the Yowie, and Little Timmy, while his historical novels for adults explore the remarkable stories of the ANZACs during the Great War.
