Andrew von Hirsch is Honorary Professor of Penal Theory and Penal Law, and Honorary Fellow of Wolfson College, at the University of Cambridge. David Garland is Professor of Law and Sociology at New York University. Alison Wakefield is a Lecturer in Criminology at City University, UK.
