This book examines how regional economic integration impacts supply chain efficiency in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), focusing on its dual membership in the East African Community (EAC) and the Southern African Development Community (SADC). Despite its strategic location and vast resources, the DRC faces logistical bottlenecks, misaligned regulations, and infrastructure challenges that hinder trade. Using a mixed-method approach, the study collects data from stakeholders and trade reports, employing quantitative and qualitative analyses alongside Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Findings highlight the EAC's efficiency through streamlined customs and digital tools, while SADC struggles with regulatory overlaps and infrastructure gaps. Recommendations include harmonizing regulations, improving infrastructure, and fostering public-private partnerships. This research offers actionable insights to optimize the DRC's cross-border trade and strengthen its role in regionaleconomic integration.
