To study and analyze requests for PSL received by the Sfax Regional Blood Transfusion Center (CRTS) for obstetrical pathology, with the aim of studying the epidemiological characteristics of patients transfused, specifying indications and compliance with pre-established guidelines. We prospectively analyzed requests for PSL from the Gynaeco-Obstetrics Department at the CRTS in Sfax, over a 6-month period. The results of this study highlighted: - Care of all pregnant women. Better management is recommended as part of prenatal follow-up (iron supplementation, immunohematological tests, in particular RAI, etc.).- Larger studies over longer periods and including both the public and private sectors would be desirable to better assess transfusion practices in the region.- The role of programmed autologous transfusion in obstetrical transfusion practice, which is one of the elements of transfusion safety.
