Matt Kambic spent his formative years as a science-fiction and fantasy preoccupied youth in the city where he was born, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 2013, he moved to New Zealand and finished his first book, Everest Rising. Published by ScienceThriller Media out of California, the novel won two awards, including the New Zealand Mountain Book & Film Festival award for Best Fiction. Matt has since illustrated The Walking Stick's Story (written by Alison Annals), co-written The Last Voyage of the S.S. Panglossian (with Matt Kennedy), and written and directed a stage play for theatre, The Sherpa & the Beekeeper ~ Summit on Everest. He recently completed another play, Ultraviolet Blackbody Catastrophe, about quantum physics. His latest book, a small bite out of Eternity ~ the Square Miracles, will be published in 2025.
