Gordon Young es licencido en Ingeniería Agrícola, con una Maestría en Ciencias de la Ingeniería, y un Diploma de Graduado en Negocios, con más de 25 años de experiencia en ingeniería relacionada con el pro-cesamiento de alimentos. Ocupó cargos públicos de investigación, antes de ser profesor de tecnología alimentaria e ingeniería en la Universidad de Qld, donde también desarrolló su experiencia en tecnología de extru-sión. En 1998 se trasladó a la consultoría técnica para la industria alimen-taria.
