Author Brian D. Sweeny grew up on the south side of Chicago and currently resides in the south suburbs of Chicago with his wife and four children. As a traumatic brain injury survivor, Brian has been the subject of countless articles regarding traumatic brain injury. Over the years he has worked with TBI survivors and their families. His goal has always been to open the doors of the all-too-often misunderstood world of life with a traumatic brain injury. His willingness to discuss the subject matter in an honest, eloquent, and, at times, comedic format exposes readers to a world very few know exists. Every 21 Seconds reveals how a brain injury affects survivors and dramatically changes the lives of those around them.
