Autorenporträt
Aneesah Glanton Ross is first and foremost a God-fearing woman. She's also a wife and a devoted mother. Professionally, she's an educator and social worker who has worked with children and young adults for over twenty years in various school districts in New Jersey, as well as Love of Jesus Church of Newark and Young Disciples Ministry. She engages in outreach activities such as prison ministry, feeding the community, and working with the youth group. In college, Aneesah chose Special Education as her major, until the program's final year when she discovered her passion for education and her desire to learn about the whole child. She switched lanes and pursued that dual degree, earning a BA in Psychology and English. Soon thereafter, she completed a Master's in Social Work. Aneesah has an enormous love and passion for all children with a sprinkle of extra love for children with special needs and disabilities. This passion propelled her to start the Young Disciples Future Leaders LLC which serves children from 2.5 to 13 years old including those with special needs. When she is not working, Aneesah spends time reading, watching the stock market, having fun with loved ones, or serving in her church. Her goal for writing this book is to encourage her readers to love themselves and to feel good about who they are no matter what. She hopes educators will be mindful of the students under their care. In Aneesah's words, "Always encourage someone to LOVE and FEEL GOOD about themselves. Love always WINS!"
