The overview of the phenomenology research study focused on minorities' lifeexperiences regarding racism, and how racism plays an important role in minorities notachieving their career success. Over the years, schools have become more diverse,but minorities still experience racism in predominantly white schools. Minoritiesexperience racial slurs, bias, being marginalized, and feeling invisible from their whitepeers during their college experience. Minorities felt schools' curricula reflectedEuropean culture, schools' policies didn't reflect their view and demanded arestructuring of policies and practices. Minorities believe they do not get the samesupport as their white peers when it comes to their career pursuits, academics, etc. Thelack of support they experience affects their chances of achieving their goals. Manyminorities needed to be self-sufficient and self-motivated to persevere from adversity.When minority students graduate and obtain their ideal positions, minority professionalscontinuously experience racism. They felt they did the same line of work as their whitepeers and did not get the same credit as they did by not receiving promotions, bonuses,or raises.
