The selection of rings and travellers is the key to obtain economical quality by reducing production cost. The travellers are one of the most important high-tech accessory due to its influence on the productivity and quality of the yarn. Coated and non-coated rings along with nickel-plated and diffusion treated travellers are used at three different spindle speeds to spun 40/s cotton yarn. Coated rings along with diffused travellers gave better spinning performance and quality as compared with non-coated ring and nickel-plated travellers at decreasing spindle speed.
