L'auteur s'est spécialisée dans l'enseignement primaire du premier au troisième degré. Elle a été enseignante en deuxième année pendant de nombreuses années, a été conseillère pédagogique dans la région d'Omusati et est actuellement chargée de cours à la Faculté d'éducation de l'Université de Namibie, où elle enseigne la numératie et le développement des mathématiques aux élèves-enseignants du premier cycle du primaire.
