Rather it is a small collection of essays on some important aspects of Middle Eastern politics and on the workings of Orientalism in one Western liberal democracy.

Karim Pourhamzavi is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Modern History, Politics and International Relations at Macquarie University. He is also a member of the Centre for Middle Eastern and North African Studies at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia.
