Aríel Bertelsen is an Icelandic author and poet, with a passion for writing fantasy and young adult fiction in long-form, short-form, and poetry. Her writing often shows themes around, surrealism, folklore and mythology, nature, and queerness. She was born in Reykjavík, Iceland, but grew up in Tenerife, Spain. Later on, she moved to the United Kingdom to go to university. She graduated from Kingston University with an undergraduate in English and Creative Writing, and a master's degree in Publishing.
