This work on failure analysis of trumpet housing of tractor is modest attempt to analyze the failure of component and hence to formulate line of action to avoid this failure. This work involves the use of finite element analysis technique. The finite element method is a numerical analysis technique for obtaining approximate solution to variety of engineering problems. The trumpet housing stress distribution has been analyzed using analysis software ANSYS 5.4 from which maximum stress produced in the component under given load conditions has been calculated.
