Autorenporträt
Robert Chope is professor emeritus of counseling at San Francisco State University, an institution he has worked in for 36 years.  He is also a cofounder of the Career and Personal Development Institute in San Francisco, a practice that is now 34 years old.  Dr. Chope has been presented with a number of professional awards including: the Eminent Career Award (2012), Merit Award (2007), and Practitioner of the Year Award (2004) from the National Career Development Association; the Robert Swan Lifetime Achievement Award from the California Career Development Association (2003); and the H. B. McDaniel Individual Award (2011) and Hall of Fame Award (2008) at Stanford University.  He is a Fellow of the American Counseling Association and the National Career Development Association.
