A new efficient coordinated and non-blocking checkpointing algorithms based on the transitive dependency information methodology are developed, where only minimum number of mobile hosts in the networks should take checkpoints. The algorithms synchronize their checkpointing activities so that a globally consistent set of checkpoints is always maintained in the system. These algorithms are domino effect-free, do not require channels to be FIFO and ensure that each checkpoint taken is part of a consistent global state. The performance analysis and simulation results show that the proposed schemes performs well compared to works related.

Houssem Mansouri: Received his engineer degree in computer science from the University of Farhat Abbes in 2004, and his master's and PhD degrees from the doctoral school of distributed systems and networks, University of Bejaia in 2007 and 2016 respectively. He is actually Associate Professor at Setif-1 University.
