In Fck the Timeline: Essays From a Late-Blooming Life*, Lisa M. Jordan burns the rulebook and bares her soul. With biting wit, brutal honesty, and tender grace, she explores what it means to bloom in a world obsessed with milestones and deadlines. From parenting transgender kids to discovering her own queerness, from unraveling the past to building a life that finally fits-this collection is a rallying cry for anyone who's ever felt like they showed up too late. Spoiler alert: You're right on time.
Lisa M. Jordan discovered her love for storytelling at a very early age, and the written word has called to her throughout her life. She has pursued various paths, but writing has always remained her true passion. Her first published work, Jacob's Awakening, (as Lisa M. Pottgen) was originally featured in the 2013 indie anthology Miraculous: Tales of the Unknown. It was later re-released as a standalone short story in 2018. Lisa's 2018 works also include When the Pieces Just Don't Fit, a deeply personal narrative about the journey to diagnosis and the early years of raising a child with autism. She also published A Look Inside, a collection of poetry exploring her mental health journey from depression and suicidal thoughts to healing and clarity. Lisa now lives in North Carolina with her wife and their youngest child. With a background in parenting neurodivergent children, she draws from her personal experiences to create authentic characters and stories that resonate. Lisa is currently working on several projects, including a young adult fantasy novel
