Autorenporträt
My name is Sara Jo Bowling and my life began 60 years ago. The late stage of the Baby Boomers! I was born and raised in Beaumont, Texas. I lived most of my first 40 years there, and then moved to be near relatives in Salem, Arkansas. So, most of my memories and influences come from Southeast Texas and North Central Arkansas. Growing up as a tomboy, I naturally was inclined to take on Physical Education and Health Education as my college major. I spent my freshman year of college at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. In 1986 I graduated from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. Due to health issues, my "official" working years were short-lived. But I performed more than my share of short-term and odd jobs. Along with volunteer work in social settings and agencies.I dabbled with a bit of writing in the early 1990's. Then in approximately 2013, due to encouragement of my Facebook Friends, I started to blog. Two times I've compiled my writings into two books. The first titled "Feel The Mind, Touch The Heart" and the second titled "Insides Out." Much of the content, I'm basically struggling to make sense of disabilities in my life. I deal with Bipolar, Obsessive-Compulsive, and Generalized Anxiety disorders. Disorders that I've battled all my years. Some of my writings are chaotic deep thinking...but interesting! haha The overall cathartic nature of the contents helped me to consider, realize, and grow to a full appreciative life. Things can still get rocky...but alas, they eventually grow smoother. A bonus of the writing is that I can hold fond memories dear, even as my mind was very turbulent at the time. Power Over Disorders!!! Grateful. The best to you, my readers. Much Peace.
