This research focuses on female cancer from two perspectives: that of nursing professionals at CAISM - UNICAMP and that of hospitalized patients. In this sense, the broader objective of this proposal is to understand the experiences of patients, their feelings and thoughts, and their relationship with nursing professionals, who are their primary caregivers in the process of coping with the disease. The results show that despite the research context being an excellent hospital, often a reference center for the treatment of female cancer, the mechanistic approach to the disease and its cure is still hegemonic. The data reveal that these aspects promote dissatisfaction among both patients and health professionals. This study aims to stimulate discussions and reflections in this regard, seeking to humanize care.
