Thomas S. Schulenberg is a research associate at the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology. Tom has made great contributions to the understanding of avian evolution and taxonomy. His extensive field expertise in South America led him to co-author Birds of Peru, and soon after, Tom became the founding editor of Neotropical Birds.
