This is the final volume of the trilogy that began with The Shelbydog Chronicles by Shelby Cole as Recorded by Mark G. Boyer: A Novel (Resource Publications, 2022) and was followed by More Shelbydog Chronicles: Reflections on a Dog's Life by Her Friend, Knowing Your Pet (Resource Publications, 2024). Shelbydog Cole died on June 30, 2025. In the pages of Final Shelbydog Chronicles, the author narrates how a Labrador-Boxer mix, weighing sixty pounds, affected not only him and many of the people in his neighborhood but many others as a silent missionary. Not only is this book the last of the trilogy, but it is designed to help those grieving the death of a pet dog or any other pet with whom they shared a special connection or bond. Single pet owners grieve deeply for the pet they loved and for whom they cared. Thus, anyone experiencing the absence of a pet, experiencing the emptiness upon the pet's departure from this life, will, hopefully, discover words of comfort in this book.
