Malcolm Sawyer is Emeritus Professor of Economics at the University of Leeds. He is lead co-ordinator of the EU-funded, 5-year project, "Financialization, Economy, Society and Sustainable Development" (FESUD). He was founding Editor of the International Review of Applied Economics and he is the author of a dozen books, including most recently, Can the Euro Survive?
