Through engaging chapter books, this series brings significant historical events and perspectives to life, with the aim of inspiring a love of reading and learning, and empowering children-especially Children of Color and young girls-to see themselves reflected in the stories they read and the knowledge they build.She lives in New York and enjoys traveling, which has inspired much of her writing.
