Lincoln County Deputy Nate Garner and his search and rescue dog Boo are quickly dispatched to track the running fugitive across the plains of Wyoming and into the Utah wilderness. Accompanying them is teenage Caleb who watches as Kwayah, called "The North Wind," stays one step ahead of her pursuers. Amazingly, Kwayah finds help with each step. When they think she will zig, she zags. And just as it seems like the pursuit is over, the tables are turned. Nate and the searchers are forced to choose between justice and duty. In Finding the North Wind, Caleb returns to Wyoming for another mystery and grand adventure with his canine companion Boo and his mentor Deputy Nate Garner.
