Autorenporträt

Carol Mackay Mertz has been a practicing artist for 34 years. She retired from her active art festival schedule recently. As an award winning artist, she carved stone, cast bronze, created in papier mâché and plaster, and painted canvas. After her retirement, she turned to her 30 year old manuscripts. Before art came writing. She recognized that what she had written in the 1990's was happening now in the present. Why wait 34 years to pursue writing? Her guides encouraged her to write from the perspective of the 90's but that now was the time to continue the story with perspectives from this present moment. She has written 8 manuscripts on this topic of evolution in our everyday lives. First Light is her first publication.
