This book is a collection of essays ~ both anecdotal and philosophical, and some are a combination of both. Some are about factual episodes of the author's life experiences, while others are a product of educated observations and driven by the author's innate curiosity. Where possible, the author has imbued the essays with humour. Some, however written, cannot be anything but serious ~ some might say disturbing if not controversial. Therefore, Dear Reader, tread carefully!

Autorenporträt
Jon currently lives with his wife in Langley, British Columbia. Jon was, by turn, a cabinet maker, a general labourer, a heavy equipment operator and instructor, a pre-school supervisor and an optician. Jon says that he still attends the university of life and credits that on-going education with his general curiosity about most things and his ability to think critically. Jon's hobbies are manifold and comprize mostly the collection of unusual objects. Although he prefers the term "collector", he has, on occasion, been tagged with the sobriquets: "hoarder" and "pack-rat" ~ terms that he vehemently denies. Jon began writing at about the age of fourteen, but only recently considered publishing anything. Since then he has published some few short story anthologies, a book of poetry as well as a fictional novel. Jon has received one or two awards and prizes from The Poetry Institute of Canada, who also publish short stories. Jon says that he writes because it has become a passion for him.
