Ashley Aldous Pangborn is a writer, advocate, and self-taught home renovator who has spent the last two years fighting floods, insurance companies, and the urge to give up. A mathematics graduate turned operations specialist, she brings analytical precision to the chaos of disaster recovery. As an autistic woman and sexual assault survivor turned advocate, Ashley writes with hard-won insight about trauma, systems, and the adaptations required to survive both.When not wielding a sledgehammer or filing insurance appeals, Ashley homeschools her two children, advocates for disaster survivors, and documents the absurdities of living in a house with no walls. She currently resides in Florida with her husband Greg, children Landon and Fay, and their cat Zipper, who has opinions about everything.
